BMO becomes the first financial institution in the world to launch the Twitch channel to help gamers progress in the game and their finances

TORONTO, May 9, 2022 /CNW/ – BMO Financial Group today announced the launch of BMO NXT LVL, a one-of-a-kind communications platform, on Twitch, known for its large community of gamers; with content crossing gaming culture and personal finance. Driven by a commitment to authenticity, BMO NXT LVL will help gamers progress in game and life by connecting and engaging with them in the digital spaces they find themselves in.

To drive this innovative initiative, BMO has created the position of Gaming Relations Specialist (GRS), a world first for any financial institution. The GRS will host BMO NXT LVL, while engaging in insightful discussions about gaming and personal finance with influential guests through live stream and social content.

To recruit its GRS, BMO looked within to find a charismatic and engaging player at the bank. Of the 50 employees who competed for the position, Sean’s frame (aka @BMO_GRS), a personal banker from Windsor, Ont. demonstrated that he has what it takes to become BMO’s first GRS.

In partnership with ad agency FCB Toronto and media agency UM, BMO will kick off the first season with its first stream of BMO NXT LVL on May 13.
